At the Same Table

Family Recipes Inspired by Tradition and Connection

Some cookbooks begin with recipes.

This one began with a wedding.

When my son married my daughter-in-law, Zita, I wanted to create something more meaningful than a traditional gift. I wanted to preserve our family's favorite recipes while welcoming the traditions, flavors, and culture of another family into ours.

What began as a keepsake for our wedding guests became At the Same Table—a cookbook celebrating the meals that connect us across generations, cultures, and new beginnings.

Inside you'll find more than 60 approachable recipes inspired by Jewish family traditions, Cameroonian roots, Mediterranean flavors, and travels through Italy, Israel, and beyond. Along the way, I'll share the simple flavor-building techniques, sauces, spice blends, and fresh ingredient combinations I use every day to make meals both healthy and delicious.

More than a cookbook, At the Same Table is an invitation to gather, share stories, honor traditions, and create new memories around the table.

Because no matter where we come from, we all belong at the same table.

How it All Began

This weekend, my son got married—and I gave him and my new daughter-in-law one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever created: a cookbook called At The Same Table.

What began as a wedding gift became something so much bigger.

I also gave a copy to every guest at the wedding, because I wanted everyone to leave with more than a favor. I wanted them to leave with a piece of connection.

A way to learn more about our families, our traditions, the flavors that shaped us, and the beautiful new ones being created.

Inside the book are family recipes from my Jewish kitchen, favorite meals from around the world, celebration dishes, desserts, and a special chapter inspired by Cameroonian cuisine—where I researched traditional flavors and created simple, approachable recipes to honor the culture and roots of my beautiful new daughter-in-law.

Because the table is where life happens.

It’s where stories are told.

Where laughter echoes.

Where healing begins.

Where love grows stronger.

Food has always been so much more than food to me. It is memory, comfort, identity, welcome, and joy. It has the power to bring cultures together and turn strangers into family.

This book was my love letter to all of that. I also have wedding pictures that I can share too.
