Spiced Crunchy Chickpeas

The air fryer at its best—an easy, delicious, crunchy and healthy snack.  Any spice blend works for savory but Chili Spice Blend  and Spiced Cinnamon are my favorites. 


Spiced Crunchy Chickpeas

INGREDIENTS

1 (15.5-ounce) can chickpeas (garbanzo beans)

Olive oil spray

SAVORY

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon oregano

1/4 teaspoon salt

SWEET

1 tablespoon light brown sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground ginger

DIRECTIONS

Let the air fryer preheat at 390°F for 3 minutes before cooking.

Drain and rinse chickpeas well before transferring to the preheated air fryer.

Let cook 5 minutes to start drying out the chickpeas.

Spray chickpeas with olive oil spray on all sides. Let cook an additional 10 minutes.

Lightly spray the chickpeas with additional olive oil spray and toss in 1/2 the spices.

Cook 3 final minutes or until chickpeas are crunchy and golden brown. Add additional spices and enjoy! 

Store in an airtight container.
